The dance and music programs of GPS always swing into high gear before Thanksgiving and into December with programs and concerts from all areas of the fine arts. Terpsichord, the contemporary dance company, presented its annual Thanksgiving Concert, Heavenly Realms, with student dances choreographed to music by Mozart, the Ahn Trio, and Respighi, as well as to traditional hymns.

After the Thanksgiving break, the Middle School Music Winter Concert on Thursday evening featured a chorus, beginning orchestra, and a new flute ensemble. On Friday, Dec. 5, the school day ended in a holiday mood as singers, musicians, and improvisation filled the stage in an afternoon program.

Capping off the holiday performances was Candlelight, two evening concerts on Dec. 5 and 6 by the combined music programs of GPS and McCallie School. The popular concert of seasonal songs is a true showcase of student talent from both schools.
